NASHVILLE, Tenn. – April 22nd, 2010 – Organizers of the acclaimed radio-concert series BLUEGRASS UNDERGROUND today announced a special public television partnership to bring the unique “musical adventure” series to national audiences. The first three episodes were filmed February 27th and the remaining eight episodes of the first season will be videotaped 333-feet below the ground in the acoustically pure Volcano Room, deep inside the Cumberland Caverns near McMinnville, TN.

“Mountain Heart is thrilled to be invited back to perform in what can only be described as the most beautiful and inspirational performance space we have ever played in over our 11 years together. To be involved with such a stellar group of co-performers on this bill and to have our performances taped for national PBS presentation is the icing on the cake. This is a performance that should not be missed. We are bringing our “A+” game that day!!”
-Mountain Heart

“Out of all the exotic places we have performed, no place compares to our experience “Down Under”…at Bluegrass Underground. There is real magic when you combine stalagtites, hotdogs, and hot picking. You have to see it to believe it!”
- Sandy Cherryholmes
